  • Best Baby Monitor Reviews

Baby monitors are vital if you want time for yourself and relax and have peace and quiet whilst your baby is asleep. You will be able to find time for yourself without having the baby in the location as yourself all of the time. You will have so much more time on your hands to do what you want.

You will have the freedom to roam anywhere within your home with a cordless or wireless baby monitor – while you are carrying the monitor receiver unit. You will be able to go into your bathroom, lounge, kitchen or yard knowing that your baby is safe, sound and being watched over. You really should select a baby monitor that has a low battery indicator as a it is no use having an out of charge receiver unit.

Baby monitors physically monitor the infant while you are not in the same room as them and are used to “see” and “hear” your baby while they are in a different location to the parent or carer. As a baby monitor will always take care of them, you can put your baby to sleep and there is no need to worry about their security and safety. These systems are essentially 2 units – the transmitter and receiver. For an audio type baby monitor, the transmitter unit is placed at a location of around 10 feet away from the baby so that their sounds or crying can be listened to the microphone built into the unit. The receiver unit is kept close to the parent or carer of the baby. They can then listen for the baby to wake up and go and comfort them.

Video baby monitors are excellent if you want to both view and hear your baby. You can get cheap baby monitors for watching your baby while they sleep so you have the extra comfort and peace of mind that they are safe and sound. Its great to know that additional cameras can be bolted onto the system so your can watch other rooms in the house.

There are many types of baby monitor and the most popular type is the wireless or cordless type baby monitor. They transmit the baby’s sounds wirelessly around the home and typically have a range of up to 100 yards through obstructing walls and up 300 yards in free space. People get worried about interference from wireless baby monitors but they are so much better these days with digital technology.
